In order to promote the full exchange and cooperation of medicine, teaching, research, learning and production in respect of TCM acupuncture and moxibustion, make the TCM acupuncture and moxibustion become an important force in developing China's health service industry and promoting the economic and social transformation and make greater contributions to deepening medical reform and enhancing health service capabilities, Lu Jian Director of the Acupuncture and Massage Department of Dongzhimen Hospital East Area was recently invited to make a special report entitled the "Acupuncture-based Treatment Method" for the annual meeting of China Association for Acupuncture and Moxibustion.

For a patient with a stiff neck, severe pain in the neck and the limited mobility of a neck, Director Lu Jian made the acupuncture treatment according to the previously mentioned the "Acupuncture-based Treatment Method" and generated good effects. The patient’s pain disappeared immediately and the patient could move freely. The audience broke into a warm applause and actively registered to experience the acupuncture treatment effect.

After the meeting, China Association for Acupuncture and Moxibustion issued a letter of appointment for the general person in charge (PI) and the persons in charge of all branch centers (Co-PI) of the low backache specialist studios, and Lu Jian received the letter of appointment on behalf of Dongzhimen Hospital East Area. This is not only an affirmation of the role of the acupuncture and massage in the treatment of chronic low backache, but is also recognition for Dongzhimen Hospital East Area.

The "Acupuncture-based Treatment Method" is the acupuncture and moxibustion clinical syndrome differentiation method created by Lu Jian Director of the acupuncture and massage department of East Area in combination with thirteen years of his experience in clinical practice, marked with clear theory, quick effect, easy learning and so on. In March 2017, the "Acupuncture-based Treatment Method" was listed as a "brand" construction project of appropriate TCM technology in Beijing and was successfully included into the "TCM Old-life Health Preservation Technology Promotion List" in Beijing and the "810" Project Suitable TCM Technology Promotion Directory in Beijing and Langfang. It’s now promoted in Beijing and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, thus achieving the leapfrog development within a year.
